Frequently Asked Questions

Where does your name come from?

In November 2022, we changed our trading name from Helena Traill Design Ltd to nooh Studio. Our founder Helena grew up with a comfort blanket called noo noo, so it’s a half of that with an H on the end! If you read more about us, you’ll find we’re all about thinking inside and outside of the box (square, like noo noo) and giving our clients a space to be creative in a reassuring and comforting place.

Where are you based?

We work with clients all over the globe and designers across the UK, but our headquarters are in West London. Our office is a melting-pot of creatives - the natural light and biophilic architecture ensures that we have the optimum space to be creative. The address: Second Home Holland Park, 48-49 Princes Place, Holland Park, London W11 4QA.

What services do you offer?

We provide brand identity, graphic design and digital design services. For a full breakdown of what this includes, just request a copy of our creds deck.

What is your design process like?

Our process is built on foundations in user-centred design, collaboration and storytelling. Known as the nooh® thinking process, it uses co-design and design sprints to deliver impactful designs that really engage end-users.

What is co-design?

Co-design invites end-users and stakeholders to become collaborators. Bringing together diverse perspectives, expertise and experiences in a collaborative design process like no other. Find out more here.

What is a design sprint?

A design sprint is a structured design process used to tackle big challenges. In live or online workshops we rapidly prototype and test ideas, allowing us to create user-centric solutions more efficiently.

How much do your services cost?

The relationships we form tend to be as varied as the amazing companies we work with… But get in touch to request our creds deck and get an idea of ballpark costs.

Can you provide examples of your previous work?

Absolutely! We love showing off our past projects and the impact they’ve had on people - just have a nosey on our Work page.

How long does it take to complete a project?

It varies depending on your deliverables, but co-design and design sprints allow us to work as efficiently as possible. And we’ve had plenty of experience flexing to meet tight deadlines.

What sectors do you specialise in?

We particularly love supporting clients in the Youth, Charity, Sport and Health & Wellbeing sectors.

Do you partner with other agencies?

Yes! We believe agencies should support each other, request a copy of our agency partnerships deck to get a better idea of how we could collaborate.
